Advertising & analytics (including cookies)

We use Shopify to power our store (privacy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy). We also use analytics/ads partners (e.g., Google Analytics/Ads, Meta/Facebook, Microsoft/Bing) to measure performance and show relevant ads. Depending on your location and cookie choices, these partners may set cookies and receive limited data about your use of the Site and purchases (e.g., hashed email, order value).

Opt-outs & controls

Cookies: For the current list of Shopify storefront cookies and purposes, see https://www.shopify.com/legal/cookies. Cookie durations range from session-only to ~2 years. You can block cookies in your browser; some features may not work.
Currency notice: we may process your IP to estimate location for currency display and store that preference in a session cookie.

Lawful bases (UK/EU GDPR)

We process personal information under:

  • Contract (to fulfil your order);

  • Legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, analytics, service improvement, limited direct marketing with opt-out);

  • Consent (where required—certain cookies/marketing);

  • Legal obligation (tax, accounting, compliance).

Sharing your information

We share information with service providers strictly to operate the Site and deliver services, including Shopify, payment processors, fraud-prevention tools, hosting, email/SMS providers, analytics/advertising partners, fulfilment/3PL and carriers, and professional advisers. We may disclose information to comply with law, lawful requests, or to protect our rights.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some disclosures for targeted advertising may be considered “sharing” under certain laws; you can opt out using the links above or by contacting us.

International transfers

Your information may be processed outside the UK/EU (e.g., Canada, United States) where our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards (e.g., adequacy decisions and standard contractual clauses). See Shopify’s GDPR resources: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/your-account/privacy/GDPR

Retention

Order records are kept as required by law (typically 6 years in the UK). Other data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes above or until you request deletion (subject to legal requirements).

Automated decision-making

We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. Shopify may apply limited automated checks to prevent fraud (e.g., temporary IP/card blacklists).

Your rights

UK/EU residents: access, correction, deletion, restriction/objection, and portability.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): know/access, delete, correct, and opt-out of certain “sharing” for targeted ads.
To exercise rights, email support@activeonewear.com. We’ll respond within required timeframes.

Do Not Track

There is no consistent industry standard for DNT signals, so we do not alter our practices when we receive such a signal.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. New versions will be posted here with the Last updated date.

Complaints

You can contact us any time at support@activeonewear.com.
If you are in the UK and remain unsatisfied, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/
